< maruni60 > TDW 100% Design Tokyo
Maruni Wood Industry Inc. will participate in the "60 vision."
For the first work of "maruni60", we will be reproducing "oak frame chair series" which was first sold in the year 1961, and will present them at the exhibition of "100% Design Tokyo."
This chair was an epoch-making living chair in the 60's, since it was a knock-down furniture that could be made into a one-seater, as well as for two and three…as freely as you like it to be. It is a brilliant product, in design, function and its comfortable seating.
-oak frame chair and oak frame coffee table will be on sale from the 1st of December in Japan.

< amadana > AHIST
The brand "amdadana" which produces beautiful and stylish electric products under their own philosophy, has put out a kotatsu (a table with a foot warmer used with quilt over it.) Maruni Wood Industry Inc. was put in charge of the production of the table.
They designed and focused on the details and the material of wood very carefully.
It could be used as a coffee table in the summer and as a Kotatsu in the winter so basically that means it is for all seasons.
In addition, they made their original quilt for the Kotatsu, and the cover for the quilt in collaboration with min? perhonen, a fashion designer, and Kaga-Komon-Gara (Japanese traditional pattern.)
They will be exhibited at the amadana Omote Sando Hills shop during the period of AHIST (Oct. 28th - Nov. 5th) which is an event promoted by Elle Deco, an interior magazine.

Our rabbit chair with accessories on the ears will be exhibited at the design museum, mudac, in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Do you remember that our rabbit chairs with accessories on the ears were exhibited at the shop of ISSEY MIYAKE BY NAOKI TAKIZAWA at Roppongi Hills in the year of our debut 2005?
These accessories are designed by designer, Naoki Takizawa of Issey Miyake with his design team, who has been inspired from our rabbit chairs.
Two rabbit chairs with their accessories, "Usamimi" and "Robamimi" were invited by mudac.
The exhibition name is "BETES DE STYLE", which means "the style of animals" Many designers' works on animals will be gathered.

Maruni Wood Industry inc. will participate in "60vision."
1960’s is a period when Japanese companies tried so hard to produce" universally acceptable standard products.” "60vision" is an activity that we clarify the long life market with the founder’s dream under the keyword of the 1960's.
Maruni Wood Industry Inc. approves this concept of "60vision." From now on, we would like to try to pursue the possibilities of nextmaruni (=next step for Maruni.)
For the first work of "maruni60", we will be reproducing a living chair and a table made by Maruni Wood Industry Inc.
Good design has nothing to do with the passage of the time. You could feel it as an ordinary good design even if it is old.
We will announce them at the "100% Design Tokyo."
The living chair can be made into a one-seater, as well as for two and three…as freely as you like it to be. It is a superior piece, considering the fact that you can make the combination of the seating and do maintenance by yourself.
